You form an alliance with the player next to you, and at just the right moment you still stick the knife in their back. Whoever manoeuvres best gets to call themselves The Golden Blade at the end. This is a stand-alone card game, so you do not need any other game to start playing. Do you already know Diplomacy? Then you will feel right at home. Are you new to it? That is fine too, because the rules get you going without any fuss. Nice detail: nobody is eliminated during play. Everyone keeps playing and keeps talking until the very last moment. Diplomacy The Golden Blade is for two to seven players and takes about 105 minutes. Ideal for an evening when you want to put each other on the spot. Expect sharp negotiations, surprising twists and plenty of laughter when someone gets caught out again.
