With careful steps and the light of your torch, you try to discover the Tacora Cave.
Each round you go deeper into the cave and you will see more new rooms, with diamonds in them that you can collect. After visiting a room you have two choices:

Setup: The mine entrances are placed next to each other on the table in numerical order. Each player chooses a playing pawn and also takes a treasure chest in the same colour.
You put the treasure chest in front of you on the table and keep the pawn in your hand. The mine cards are shuffled and placed in a face-down pile. The diamonds lie on the table as a general supply.
A turn
All players enter the cave at the same time. To do this, a mine card is turned over and placed at the first mine entrance. There are now 2 possibilities:
1. A diamond card has been turned over.
Take as many red diamonds from the supply as the number on the mine card shows and divide them equally among the players.
Any remaining diamonds are placed on the mine card that was just revealed. For example, if an 11 is revealed and there are 4 players, each player gets 2 diamonds and the remaining 3 diamonds are placed on the mine card.
You place the diamonds you have just received in front of you on the table.
2. A hazard card has been turned over.
There are 5 different hazards: snake, scorpion, cave-in, gas cloud or explosion. When a hazard is revealed for the first time, nothing happens. But if the same hazard appears a second time, everyone flees the mine and leaves all their diamonds behind. The players who left the mine early do keep their diamonds.
Every time a mine card has been turned over, the players face a choice: go deeper into the mine to try to find even more diamonds, or turn back and bring your diamonds to safety. The players make this choice at the same time by taking the playing pawn into their hand, or not, hidden from the other players. Then all players open their hand above the table at the same time. The players who have a pawn in their hand leave the mine to bring their diamonds to safety. On their way back they take the diamonds that are still lying in the mine passage. These are divided fairly among these players. Any remaining diamonds stay where they are. The diamonds are stored in the treasure chest (you may exchange 5 red diamonds for 1 white one) and are safe for the rest of the game. These players take no further part in this round. The players who do not have a pawn in their hand go deeper into the mine by turning over a new mine card.
After the players have fled the mine or have all brought their diamonds to safety, a new expedition follows in the next mine shaft. If the previous expedition ended because a second hazard card was turned over, that card is removed from the game. The chance that the next expedition ends with the same hazard is therefore smaller.
The end: When the fifth expedition has ended, you count the diamonds you have collected in your treasure chest. Red diamonds are worth 1 point and white ones 5 points. The player with the most points wins the game.
