You ask questions and try to pick up the first hints about the code hidden across from you. You write the answers on your wipe-clean cards, so you keep everything neatly together. The further you get, the less it is about asking questions and the more about thinking carefully and combining clues. That way you work from a three-digit code to four and finally five.
