The colourful pegs are set up on a star-shaped board. In Chinese Checkers the goal is simple: move all your pieces to the other side. Whoever gets there first wins. But the route is full of choices, because you may jump over your own pegs and those of others. With a bit of luck you can make a long chain of jumps right across the board. The nice thing about this game is that everyone can join in straight away. You can explain the rules in a few minutes, and yet it stays exciting until the very last move. Children from seven years old can play along with grandpa, grandma or the boy next door. You play with two to six people, so whether it is a quiet evening or a full kitchen table, there is always room. By the way, Chinese Checkers is not Chinese, and it has little to do with draughts. It is a classic that has been played for generations, and that is no coincidence. No complicated explanations, just puzzling, jumping and laughing together about that one jump that did not quite work out.
