Cartographers: Een Roll Playing Verhaal - Kaartspel

This is the Dutch-language edition. Queen Gimnax has an important task for you: conquer the northern lands and map them for the Kingdom of Nalos. But watch out, the Dragul are lying in wait and try to spoil your mission with their outposts. It is up to you to draw cleverly, claim the right areas and finally be named the best cartographer in the kingdom.

About the game

Cartographers is an award-winning fantasy map-drawing game in which players compete to earn the most reputation stars before the four seasons have passed. In this game you draw shapes on a grid map at the same time as the other players and fill them with forests, farms, villages and water.

But beware: monsters placed on your map by other players can throw a spanner in the works. By planning smartly, surrounding mountains to earn coins and standing up to surprise attacks, you score points after every season. After four seasons, the player with the highest reputation wins.

With room for 1 up to 100 players, Cartographers is perfect for any group. Every game is different thanks to the changing scoring patterns, which gives you endless strategies and replay value.

The game works in three simple steps:

1. Draw shapes:
Each turn you draw a card that tells you which type of terrain and which shape you draw on your map.

2. Fill your map:
Surround mountains to collect coins and be ready for unexpected monster attacks that other players place on your map.

3. Score points:
At the end of each season you score points based on four randomly chosen scoring patterns. Every round asks for a new strategy to stay on top.
