Calico

Picture this: a nice warm blanket full of colourful patches, with cats curling up comfortably on top. That is exactly what Calico is all about. You sew your own quilt and try to make it the cosiest one at the table. Each turn you pick a patch from your hand, place it in the right spot and draw a new patch. Easy to learn, but every choice counts. The trick is in combining. Place matching colours next to each other and you get to sew a button onto your quilt. Create a nice mix of patterns and a cat may just wander over and curl up on your blanket. Meanwhile, you keep an eye on finishing the pattern of your own quilt neatly. Puzzling, shifting and placing just that one patch in the perfect place. At the end you count points for your buttons, your cats and your completed quilt. You can play Calico with two players, with the whole family or nicely on your own. For everyone aged 10 and up, and done in about three quarters of an hour. A game that makes you want to play another round right away.
