Brood & Bier

Brood en Bier is a strategic game for 2 players. By playing cards you harvest resources, improve your village and sell beer and bread. Every card can be used in three different ways. Slide the card above the game board for a harvest, below the game board to expand your village, or discard the card to sell beer and bread.

The way you get cards depends on the round. During a good year you pass hand cards back and forth, each time choosing a card to play. During a lean year you have to make do with the cards you are dealt, although you may swap a limited number of cards with the trading card area.

Whoever has produced the most beer or bread after six rounds wins. But there is a small catch. Whichever you have produced the least of decides your final score. So you lose if you go all in on bread while your beer production stays very limited.
