Brigands

The king is away on holiday and has entrusted the city and his treasury to the prince. But the robbers know the vaults are well stocked. And they have just one goal: to fill their pockets. Will you play the prince who protects his gold, or the bandit who makes off with the loot? Brigands is a game of bluffing, peeking and being just a little craftier than the others. On one side stands the prince, on the other the rival robber gangs. Each round you secretly send your three henchmen into the districts of the city. Only once everyone has chosen are the cards turned over. Do you run into the prince's men as a robber? Then it is off to jail. But if the coast is clear, you can plunder the district, each place in its own way. With a handy action token you steal gold from another player, shove someone aside or slip away to a different district at the last moment. After six rounds the truth comes out. If no robber has managed to steal fifty ducats, the prince wins and the treasure stays safe. If the gangs do succeed? Then the richest bandit takes the victory. The prince also grows stronger as the game goes on, which makes the cat and mouse game more exciting every round. Are you on the right or the wrong side of the law?
