Big Bad Overlord

Would you rather be the boss of all the villains? In Big Bad Overlord you step into the shoes of a wicked duke who wants to conquer the world. You gather henchmen, from small-time thugs to horrible monsters, and take on the other players at the table. And watch out: now and then some good-hearted heroes show up to spoil your plans, such as brave adventurers or annoying little children. You will have to crush them quickly. You start with six cards and keep half of them secret. The face-up cards form your army, which you use to attack the other dukes. Each turn you draw a new card. You fight with three kinds of attacks: mind control, magic and good old hand-to-hand combat. Two dice decide who wins. Even the most one-sided fights stay exciting, because a double six always wins and a double one always fails. The game also includes two magic items, and they are worth their weight in gold. Anyone who does not own one at the end is knocked out. If two dukes are still standing, a final, brutal showdown follows. You may team up, but a dagger in the back is just as much part of the game. In Big Bad Overlord it is simply wonderful to be bad.
