Barcelona takes you back to the 19th century, a time when the city was bursting at the seams. The old walls come down and make way for a new district: the Eixample. You play as a builder and help shape this expansion.

You build homes for residents who want to leave the crowded old town. At the same time you lay out streets, develop tram lines and provide public amenities. Every choice adds to how the city grows and how you collect points.

The game runs over several rounds with scoring in between. You plan your actions carefully and try to get the most out of every turn. Barcelona is a strategic game in which you work step by step on a city that comes more and more to life.
