Avant Carde

In Avant Carde you go looking for the finest cubist art. You build your own collection, card by card, and try to put together the best exhibition every time. Everyone starts with a small pile of mediocre cards in different colours. From that modest base you work towards something you can be proud of. Each round you play cards that match in colour and number. Red next to red, purple next to purple, and that is how your exhibition takes shape. For every card you play you earn money, and with that money you buy new art from the gallery. That way your collection keeps getting stronger. The six patrons at the table give your cards extra power, and with the right combination you earn a good deal. Enough money means prizes, and more money means more prizes. The game ends as soon as the pile of prizes runs out. Whoever has collected the most prizes by then may call themselves the proud winner. Avant Carde plays with one to five people, and thanks to the different sets of patrons there is always something new. Perfect for a quiet evening together at the table.
