Altay: Dawn of Civilization

Deep in the heart of a vast continent live four remarkable peoples. For years they developed their own cultures, in which magic and technology exist in balance with nature and with each other. But then change arrives. New settlers come, with different tools, weapons and a completely new way of life. You lead one of the original inhabitants of Altay. Will you welcome the newcomers and grow along with them, or hold on to your old ways? Altay: Dawn of Civilization mixes deckbuilding with building a civilization and claiming territory. You play one of the four peoples, each with its own starting deck and its own cards. With those cards you bring in resources such as stone, metal, wood and knowledge. You use them to build new settlements, expand your territory and defend yourself against opponents. The board and your cards work closely together: many cards become stronger when you hold the right locations. Each area on the board has a different landscape and provides different resources. You can use the resources you gather to add new cards to your deck, or to build lasting achievements that make your people stronger forever. Whoever grows and develops best, and leaves memories that last, wins the game. A meaty adventure for two to four players who like depth.
