Wendake

Wendake takes you to the land of the Wyandot, also known as the Huron. Around the Great Lakes these tribes lived in longhouses, close to their fields and forests. The women grew beans, corn and squash, while the men hunted beavers for their pelts. You step into the shoes of a tribal chief and make sure your people can grow and flourish. The game is set around the years 1756 to 1763, in the middle of a time of war between the French and the English. But that struggle stays in the background here. The focus is on daily life in the villages, in the fields and among the trees. You decide how your tribe moves forward and you earn points in four areas: economy, battle, rituals and masks. The heart of Wendake is choosing your actions. Across seven years, split into rounds, you keep getting better choices in front of you. Whoever finds the smartest combinations and leads their tribe to prosperity wins the game. Play on your own or against up to three others: every choice counts.
