Vendel to Viking

Travel back to the centuries before the Vikings. In Vendel to Viking you take charge of a family in the Norse world between 550 and 800 AD. Every turn is a new generation, and with every choice you build your bloodline's legacy bit by bit. From humble beginnings to a name everyone knows in the Viking age. You place family members on the map and put them to work in all kinds of places. One does labour, another grows into an impressive figure. You link such a person to a card from the market and place them on your family board and in the achievement tree. Where they stand decides which opportunities you get later in the game. The first player to reach two achievements at the highest level wins. If nobody manages that in time, points decide the winner. Vendel to Viking plays with 1 to 6 players and is a standalone prequel to Pax Viking. There is a solid solo mode, and you can use the final standings of this game as the starting point for Pax Viking. That way you turn both games into one big campaign. Expect about two hours full of choices, history and stories you write together at the table.
