When gods fight, human blood flows. In Theomachy: The Warrior Gods you step into the role of a supreme god, ruler over a group of loyal followers. At last you can pit Poseidon against Ishtar, let Thor battle Cthulhu or have Morrigan take on Yog-Sothoth. You have only one goal: wipe out your opponents' believers and seize absolute power. How do you do that? By putting the souls of your followers on the line. You bluff, read your opponents and pick your moment, just like in Texas Hold 'em Poker. In the middle of the table lies a Constellation, much like the flop, turn and river in poker. It determines how much power your spells get. Sometimes it works out perfectly, sometimes it is a disaster, and usually you end up somewhere in between. Every round you face the same choice: do you use your power to save your believers, or do you drop them to limit your losses? With miracles, spells and mighty artefacts you send your followers into battle, build temples and curse the unbelievers. If nobody gives in, it comes down to a showdown in which hurricanes clash with deadly plagues and storms snuff out walls of fire. The game features four pantheons: Celtic, Norse, Slavic and Lovecraft's Great Old Ones, each with their own heroes, temples and dark powers. A tough game for two to four players who love bluffing and tension.
