Gotham is grimmer than ever and you step into the shoes of the world's greatest detective. In The Dark Knight Returns you come back from retirement to protect the city one more time. Ruthless mutants, suspicious cops and a press that wants to tear you down: it all comes at you. It is up to you to stay on your feet. This game is not about getting stronger and stronger. It is a struggle in which your powers slowly fade. An older hero tries to survive one last trial and runs into familiar and new enemies along the way, such as Two Face, Billy Berserk and of course The Joker. Even your mightiest ally, the Man of Steel himself, crosses your path. You can choose how you play. Take on single missions for an evening full of tension, or go for the whole story in one long series where your choices and results carry over to the next assignment. Alone or with two players, you get a story that does not let you go easily.
