That Old Wallpaper

Do you remember that old wallpaper at grandma's house? In That Old Wallpaper you get to paper a wall yourself, and preferably as beautifully as possible. You lay card after card next to each other and try to make the patterns match up exactly. One piece of wallpaper fits seamlessly with the next, and slowly you see your wall take shape. Each round all players choose a spot with wallpaper on offer at the same time. Are you the only one who picks that spot? Then the cards are yours. Does someone else choose the same spot? Then you both get a 'vague memory', a card with a pattern on only one side. Handy for filling in gaps later on. So you are always guessing a little about what the others will do, and that is exactly what makes it so much fun at the table. At the end you count points for each colour. For every colour you multiply the number of large symbols by the number of small ones, so you need at least one of each to score. That calls for planning ahead and a bit of nerve. That Old Wallpaper is for two to five players and a game takes about half an hour. Just right for a nice evening together.
