Ready, set, go? In Tempo, six coloured pawns race along the track, and your cards decide who shoots ahead. Before the race really gets going, you place a bet: which colour do you think will win? After that the tension builds, because with every card you play you try to make your prediction come true. The nice thing is that everyone is involved at the same time. One pawn sprints forward, another suddenly falls behind, and you can hear the excitement rising around the table. You bluff a little, you hope for luck, and you keep half an eye on what the others are up to. That is exactly what makes it so much fun to play together. Tempo is the very first game Wolfgang Kramer published and the basis for later racing classics such as Downforce. With a playing time of half an hour, suitable for two to six players aged eight and up, this is a great choice for an evening of racing, betting and cheering.
