It used to be a small, sleepy town, but the affordable housing brought in artists, young businesses and families. Now celebrities are moving in too, and after a few excavations the tourists are pouring in. Street by street, the place turns into a lively centre full of culture and trade. And you help decide what it will look like. You are investors building a growing city together. One street becomes a magnet for hipsters, another fills up with tourists or families with children. Where will your microbrewery earn the most? And which spot is perfect for that toy shop? While you are making plans, your fellow players are laying out their streets as well. If they strike gold, you can happily ride along. As soon as a street is finished, people move into the buildings that appeal to them. Hopefully they will come to your buildings in an up-and-coming neighbourhood. Streets is a tile-laying game in which the value of every building depends on what stands next to it, so thinking carefully about your placement pays off. Whoever spends their money wisely and looks ahead without missing new chances grows the fastest. There are even separate expansions that give every player their own special powers, for even more choices and tough decisions.
