Take to the skies with luxury airships and change your endgame strategy – Scythe gets a breezy edge!
With The Wind Gambit, Scythe expands with two modular additions: airships and resolution tiles. This expansion brings extra dynamism to the game without upsetting the balance. Both modules can be used independently, so you decide for yourself how far you want to broaden your horizons.
The airships are a completely new type of unit. At the start of the game, two airship tiles are drawn at random (one passive and one aggressive ability), which apply to all players. Each of the seven factions gets its own airship miniature with a matching coloured base. These airships can move straight from your home base across land, water and rivers – which gives you a real flying start.
The airships add new strategies, although they cannot conquer territory. They are a tactical tool for moving faster, exerting influence or putting pressure on your enemies. The miniatures are impressively large (101x33x41 mm) and stand on removable, transparent stands.
With the 8 resolution tiles, every game gets a unique twist at the end. Instead of always ending as soon as someone has earned six stars, you now add an extra condition or twist. This means players have to adapt their strategy and stay alert until the very last move.
Scythe: The Wind Gambit is perfect for players who love variety, new layers to their strategy and the luxury of miniatures that literally rise above the board. Add this expansion and watch your game take wing, literally and figuratively.
