Sand Castles

It's a calm, beautiful day at the seaside. The water laps gently against the shore and together you start on three sandcastles. But then the wind picks up. In the distance, big waves are slowly heading your way. Can you finish all the castles before those waves reach the shore? In Sand Castles you don't play against each other, but with each other. You gather sand, share the buckets and spades, and help one another wherever you can. Together you get much further. Still, those waves keep coming closer, and that's when the thinking starts. Do you build a big sand wall to protect the castles? Or do you take a gamble and keep on building? Every choice counts. A gentle, warm game that still brings tension, suitable from age 5 and playable with 1 to 8 people. Ideal for an afternoon together at the table, where talking things through and working together are the best part of the adventure.
