Sacred Rites

The longest day of the year has arrived and it is time to honour the old customs. You are all members of the Great Society and you gather to perform the Sacred Rites. There is just one small problem: not everyone still remembers exactly what the ceremony is about. Every player is a Believer and is secretly told what the subject of the rite is. But watch out: some players (or sometimes nobody at all) are left in the dark and become Outsiders. In turn, you share something you remember from the ceremony. Think of the chants, the time of day, the food for the feast or even special smells, colours or shapes. Sounds easy? Just wait until the accusations start. Can you pick out the Outsider who is simply making things up? And if you are an Outsider yourself, can you join in without giving yourself away? Sacred Rites is a game full of bluffing, imagination and laughter, perfect for a large group of up to nine players. In half an hour it becomes clear who is the most convincing Believer at the table.
