This is the Dutch-language edition. Step into the world of the Viking age with Rovers van de Noordzee, a strategy game in which you play a Viking warrior trying to impress the Chieftain. The goal? Raid settlements, gather riches and prove your glory! But that is not as simple as it sounds. You have to put together a strong crew, stock up on enough provisions and set course north to plunder gold, iron and livestock. Even in battle against the Valkyrie you can find glory, so get ready, because it is raiding season!

To win the Chieftain's favour, you collect victory points (VPs). You earn these points by raiding settlements, bringing in loot and making offerings to the Chieftain. But watch out: how you use your loot can decide your success. Each turn consists of two actions: you place a worker to carry out an action, and then take a different worker to carry out another action. This clever worker mechanism gives the game its strategic depth and offers countless ways to earn glory.

The game ends when only one fortress raid is still possible, when all Valkyrie have left the game, or when all offerings have been made. Then players count their points and it is decided who becomes the Chieftain's favourite. Rovers van de Noordzee combines strategy, theme and a hefty dose of Viking daring.
