The finish line waits on the other side of the river, but how do you get there? In River Dragons you build your own route of wooden planks and try to be the first to reach the far bank. Sounds easy, right? Except nobody works together. Everyone builds their own little bridges, right next to each other, and of course everyone thinks their plan is the best. At the start of each round you secretly choose five action cards from the nine you hold. You lay them out in order and then the tension begins: all players flip their cards and carry them out one by one. You place foundations, lay planks, move your pawn or pull a plank away from an opponent. Because everyone planned their moves at the same time, things almost never go the way you expected. Expect chaos, laughter and plenty of surprises. This 2012 version has a double-sided game board. One side shows piles of rocks where you place your stones, just like before. The other side shows an open river where you may put your stones anywhere. That way every game plays a little differently.
