Recess!

Growing up is never easy, and certainly not on a rough schoolyard where everything is settled between the playground equipment. In Recess! you are a kid with just one goal: to sneak a kiss from your sweetheart on the other side of the yard, before the bell rings and recess is over. But that is not so simple. Bullies steal your lunch money, squabbles break out everywhere and the nuns keep a sharp eye on everything. You play with two boys and two girls, whom you move across the board. The children move like a rook in chess, the nuns like a queen. Land on a square with another child and a fight starts, and you take a coin from them. Other children can stop such a quarrel, or they can tattle to a nun. Is the nun called in? Then the attacker has to stay behind at the entrance. So make sure you are in the right place at the right moment. The pot of money you win decides who wins in the end. If you manage to bring your boy and girl together out of sight of the nuns, that kiss earns you plenty of coins. Recess! is a game full of tension, humour and little pranks, suitable for three to five players and about half an hour of struggle on the schoolyard.
