Qwirkle

This is the Dutch-language edition. The abstract game Qwirkle consists of 108 wooden blocks with six different shapes in six different colours. There is no board; players simply use any available flat surface.

Players start the game with six blocks. The starting player places blocks with a single matching attribute (colour or shape, but not both) on the table. After that, a player adds blocks that touch at least one previously played block. The blocks must all be played in one line and, without duplicates, match the colour or shape of the previous block.

Players score one point for each block played plus every adjacent block. A block can score in more than one direction. If a player completes a line containing all six shapes or colours, six extra points are scored. The player then refills their hand to six blocks.

The game ends when the draw bag is empty and one player plays all of their remaining blocks, earning a bonus of six points. The player with the highest score wins.
