Collecting cards, picking shares and always that nagging question: do I keep this card for myself or put it in the middle for everyone? In Pocket Rails you build your own railway portfolio while quietly trying to score the most points. Every choice counts, and that is exactly what makes it so addictive. It works wonderfully simply. Everyone gets a hand of cards with cities, companies and goods. Each round you place one card in front of yourself and one in the shared marshalling yard in the middle of the table. Then you all turn them over at the same time. Be careful not to collect too much of the same thing, because if you end up with three cards showing the same city and the same company, you simply lose them again. At the end you count your points by comparing your cards with what lies in the middle. In a quarter of an hour you have played an exciting game, perfect for in between or to open the evening with. Small in size, but with enough punch to make you want to play again and again. Whoever is on top after three rounds may call themselves the boss of the railway.
