Pick a Pen Crypts - really roll with pens...I mean pencils!

Pick-a-Pen: Crypts is a game from the Pick-a-Pen series by renowned author Reiner Knizia and contains score sheets of 3 ascending levels. On score sheets 2 and 3 you will find pencil symbols to cancel a turn and bonuses for squares in 1 color.
The Pick-a-Pen series is a new generation of innovative "Roll & Write" games, which actually roll with pencils. This allows for many different game mechanics with the same playing material. But at the heart of each game is coloring fields.

You try to decipher very complicated inscriptions in an ancient crypt

Complete as many rows and columns in an ancient crypt as possible, with some symbols giving you an extra turn! Always choose 1 of the rolled crayons and color in the symbol indicated on the corresponding side. Depending on the chosen score level, you earn points in different ways. At the end, will you have the most points in the Pick a Pen Crypts maze?

The starting player first rolls all the pencils, each of which has a different color. On their sides are different symbols. These show which square you may color in that color on your score sheet.

On your turn, choose a pencil and color in the corresponding symbol. In doing so, you must always progress from left to right. If a row is full, you may color in a symbol of your choice. And if you color in a bold outlined symbol with the correct color, you may color in another symbol as a bonus. In this way you try to fill in as many rows and columns with the correct colors as possible. If you succeed, you may color in bonus points on your sheet. The game ends when one of the players has colored in all his squares.
