Pátzcuaro

Every year on 2 November something special happens in Mexico. Families build beautiful altars, decorated with stories, favourite dishes and treasured belongings. This is how they honour the people who are no longer here, with warmth and with love. In Pátzcuaro you step right into this celebration, in the city that celebrates it like no other. Together with your fellow players you head to the colourful market. There you collect cards with the objects you need to build your altar. Choose your cards with care, because you decide how beautiful and complete your altar becomes. It is all about making clever use of the cards in your hand. Pátzcuaro is played with two to four people and a game takes about forty-five minutes. Around the table you build something lovely together, while everyone shapes their own altar. A game full of colour and tradition that takes you to a place where memories come to life.
