Old Pappy Winchester has kicked the bucket. A shame, because he was the greatest con man in the Wild West and stinking rich. His last wish? That the inheritance stayed in the family and that the richest heir would become the new head of the family. Now you sit around a map of his ranch with the other descendants, ready to divide the loot. And believe us: nobody plays nice when there is money on the table. The board is made up of 19 pieces of land, split between desert, prairie and forest. Train tracks and a river run straight through it, and the saloon stands apart from it all. In turn a piece of land is flipped over, after which everyone may bid on it. The winner claims the land and turns over the bonus token, which can do all sorts of things: move the train or the boat, take money from the saloon or reveal the value of a mine. You then divide the amount of your bid as fairly as possible among the others. So losing still earns you something. Is an auction down to you and just one other heir? Then you can challenge them to a duel. Two cards are shuffled, one with a firing pistol and one without. Whoever draws the smoking barrel wins. Along the way you pick up points with secret and shared goals, and whoever has the most money after the nineteenth auction becomes the new head of the family. A game full of bluffing, gambling and sneaky plans, exactly the way Pappy would have wanted it.
