Oilfield

Texas, 1933. The sun rises over the desert and you are one of the daredevils who came here to make a fortune. Deep beneath the glowing sand, black gold is waiting for you. So what are you waiting for? In Oilfield you step into the shoes of an entrepreneur who wants to exploit the rich oil fields of Texas. You arrange a government permit, build towers, drill for oil and gas, and sell your haul on the market where you earn the most. You are not on your own. Around the table sit other risk takers with exactly the same dream. Each round you do two things: a public move that everyone can see, and a secret move that you prepare on the sly. Whoever lines up their choices well gets the furthest. Invest wisely, keep an eye on your opponents and pick your moments with care. At the end, the player with the most valuable investments wins. Oilfield is a game for 2 to 5 players aged 12 and up and takes about an hour. Perfect for an evening of competing for the title of oil baron, with plenty of tension to keep everyone sharp.
