Mountains out of Molehills

From far and wide the moles come to the great annual tournament. Who is the best mountain builder? In Mountains out of Molehills you stack molehills as high as possible and try to gain control of as many mountains as you can. For six rounds you dig, plan and stack away. Whoever owns the most mountains at the end may call themselves the best tunneller. Each round has four phases. First you take turns picking action cards from the market until you hold four of them. Then you lay out your cards in the order you want to play them, with the bottom one first. Watch out: once they are laid down, you cannot change that order! Thinking ahead pays off, because your opponents love to throw a stone in your path or topple your finest mountain, sending the pieces rolling onto other mountains. There is a game board with two levels, plus a colourful acrylic standee for every mole. That way you can watch your own mole scurry about underground. You score points for every piece in the mountains you control. After six rounds you add everything up and crown the winner.
