It is the middle of the fourteenth century. The Chinese people have broken free from Mongol rule, and with emperor Tai-Tsu on the throne a new era begins. The country grows and flourishes, and you are right in the middle of it. In Ming Dynasty you step into the shoes of a prince who wants to bring his family as much prestige as possible. You spread your followers across six Chinese provinces, each of which consists of three prefectures. Make sure your family members gain the majority in the government, because during the election rounds the emperor hands out gifts to whoever holds the reins firmly. Every move counts, and you keep a close eye on what your opponents are planning. In the end, the winner is not the one with the most power, but the player with the best balance in their collection of influence tiles. That makes Ming Dynasty a game in which you keep weighing your options until the very last moment. Perfect for a long evening together at the table, with enough tension to keep everyone sharp.
