Picture this: the dominoes are laid out, everyone is ready, and then a cheerful "woo woo!" rings through the room. Mexican Train is a friendly domino game where you build trains together, tile by tile. It is easy to explain and almost everyone can join in right away, young and old. That is exactly why it is such a favourite at the kitchen table. The game starts with the highest double tile in the middle of the table, the station. From there you build your own train, tile by tile. There is also a shared train, the Mexican Train, which everyone may play on. Can't play a tile, not even after drawing a new one? Then you place a little train on your track and others may use it for a while. The first player to get rid of all their tiles ends the round. At the end everyone counts the points on the tiles they still have, and the lowest score wins. You play with a double-12 set, and with fewer players a double-6 or double-9 set works fine too. Most boxes contain everything you need, such as the train markers to mark your track and that lovely train whistle. A quick game in between or a long evening full of rounds: anything goes, and it is always most fun together.
