Peru, 1820. Unrest breaks out and the Spanish government wants to move its treasure to safety. From Lima to Mexico, that is the plan. But the ship's crew has other ideas. They mutiny, turn pirate and hide the loot on Cocos Island. And now it is your turn to find that treasure, before the Spanish catch you. Cocos Island has 24 locations: eight on the coast, eight in the forest and eight in the mountains. Somewhere in two of those locations the treasure lies hidden. At the start, two tiles go into the box, and those reveal exactly where the loot is. The rest of the tiles are shared out evenly. Those are the locations that have already been searched, so you do not need to look there. Each turn you roll three twelve-sided dice. They determine which questions you may ask the other players. How many locations have you searched between the southeast and the northwest? How many forest locations between west and south? Together, the answers from the other players form a web of clues. Bit by bit you piece the puzzle together, until you know which locations have never been searched. That is exactly where the treasure is. Loot of Lima is a challenging deduction game for 1 to 5 players in which you have to listen closely, combine well and be just a little quicker than the rest.
