London Dread

London, in the age of carriages, fog and dimly burning street lamps. In London Dread you and your fellow players step into the shoes of investigators who are on the trail of dark deeds. Something horrible is creeping through the city, and it is up to you to uncover the truth before it is too late. The game is played through a series of stories, which you usually play over two chapters. First there is a planning phase in which the clock is ticking. Under time pressure you talk things over and divide the tasks, while new dangers and secrets keep turning up. Then comes the story phase, in which your plans are carried out and you see how good your teamwork really was. From a masked murderer to a touch of supernatural threat: the mood is dark and tense. This is truly a game you play together. Talking, planning and building on each other's strengths are the key to staying one step ahead on the city's grim streets. For two to four players aged fourteen and up, and good for about ninety minutes of tension at the table.
