Welcome to Astoria, a land buzzing with magic and sneaky games for power. A handful of Arch-Mages compete for the loyalty of wizards from all over the land. Whoever gathers the most prestige gets to call themselves ruler. Will you be the one who rises above all the rest? In Lizard Wizard you recruit wizards from seven different schools of magic, build towers that boost your powers and search dark dungeons for gold and mighty items. On your turn you pick one of six actions: gather ingredients, turn them into mana, recruit a wizard through an exciting auction, research spells, build a tower or summon a spirit that does chores for you. Every choice pushes you a little closer to victory, and you will quickly notice that you want to think ahead. This game comes from the makers of Raccoon Tycoon. If you know that game, a lot will feel familiar right away, but there is a bit more depth and strategy here. With two to six players and an evening of about two hours, this is a real recommendation for fans of rich, tactical games. Expect to make plans, get in each other's way at the auction and enjoy that growing magic realm on the table together.
