At the edge of the kingdom, a province is waiting for a strong leader. That's you. The king has chosen you to govern a piece of borderland, and that is no easy job. On the horizon, monsters are gathering with just one goal: to invade and plunder. It is up to you to build up your territory and defend it. In Kingsburg 3rd Edition, everything revolves around influence. You roll dice and place them with the king's advisors. Each advisor gives you something different: gold, wood, stone or soldiers. But watch out, you are not the only one knocking at the court. The other players are after exactly the same help. Whoever rolls low gets to choose first, so even with bad luck you can still put together a good turn. The game runs over five years, and every winter an army comes for you that you have to hold back. This third edition has been completely refreshed. New artwork, redesigned components and the best expansions from earlier versions are included right away, such as the soldier tokens, the governor cards and extra buildings. That gives you an evening at the table full of choices, tension and that nagging feeling: can I save the kingdom before the enemy strikes?
