In Kingdom Rush: Elemental Uprising you are in charge together. Wave after wave, the monster hordes march on your kingdom, and it is up to you to stop them. This game is fully cooperative, so you all play against the board. Everyone takes on the role of their own hero with unique powers, and together you build towers that fire on the monsters. With pieces in different shapes you cover the monsters, until a whole horde is covered and disappears. Along the way you earn crystals and gold, which you use to buy new towers or upgrade the ones you have. And you have to keep thinking, because the monsters have all kinds of special powers. Passing towers to each other, placing attacks at the right moment, getting around magic shields: talking it through is everything here. On top of that, volcanoes, whirlwinds and surprising events sometimes throw your plans into complete disarray. You can play separate scenarios that you can replay again and again, or go for the campaign in which everything slowly grows bigger, with big end bosses and challenges for your heroes. The rules are quick to learn, but the tactics run deep. For every game you choose how hard you make it on yourself, right up to the dreaded Iron Challenges where almost everything has to go perfectly.
