In Ju 87 Stuka Ace you climb alone into the cockpit of the famous World War II dive bomber. From the first flights over Poland to the fights against tanks in Russia: you fly the missions the Stuka carried out throughout the war. The game centres on something special, namely the dive attack. You choose at which altitude you release your bombs, go into the dive, take visibility and formation into account, drop your bombs and then carefully pull up again. You steer every phase with the action cards in your hand, and that planning needs care. After playing a card you do not draw a new one right away. You fly over almost every place the Stuka was ever used: Poland, France, England, Norway, the Mediterranean, North Africa, Italy and Russia. The targets differ a lot per mission. One time you go after infantry or artillery, another time after tanks, transport ships or heavy warships. The weather and the landscape matter too. Poor visibility, the heat and sand of the desert or the freezing cold and snow of the Russian winter: you take all of it into account. There are even night missions, in which you fly over Italy as a member of night group NSG9. Nine different Stuka models appear, and for each mission you carefully choose which bomb load fits best. If you only have a little time, you play a single mission in the area that appeals to you. If you want more, the campaign takes you through your pilot's entire career. You start as a rookie and rise to leader of your squadron. As commander you direct your formation, but you always stay at the controls yourself. The outcome depends on your own attack, so there is no sitting back and watching. Along the way you improve your skills, build your own card deck and earn decorations. The golden oak leaves are waiting for you aboard your Ju 87.
