Hitster Rock laat je los op 150 iconische rocktracks uit alle hoeken van het genre – van gierende gitaren tot rauwe punk en meebrulbare classics. Geen bord, geen pionnen, alleen jij, je tijdlijn en een flinke portie muziekkennis. En je smartphone, natuurlijk. Want elk nummer activeer je met een simpele scan via Spotify. Laat die intro’s maar komen!

Of je nu uit je dak gaat bij Nirvana, luchtgitaar speelt op Queen of heimelijk toch een zwak hebt voor Meat Loaf – deze uitbreiding zit ramvol herkenbare nummers die je avond veranderen in een rockfeest. Zet ‘m op ‘Original’ voor een luchtige warming-up of go full throttle in de ‘Expert’ modus waar titel, artiest én jaartal gevraagd worden. Met de coöperatieve modus kun je zelfs samen de perfecte tijdlijn bouwen. Maar pas op: de echte Hitster Rock win je niet met geluk, maar met een goed oor en een ijzersterk geheugen.

Zet de versterker op elf, scan die kaarten en laat je kennis van rock de kamer vullen. Hitster Rock is alles wat je nodig hebt voor een avond knallen, herinneringen ophalen en ontdekken hoeveel rock jij eigenlijk in je donder hebt.

Om dit spel te kunnen spelen heb je tenminste een basisspel van Hitster nodig, zoals de originele Hitster, Hitster: Guilty Pleasures of Hitster: Summer Party.

This is how you play Hitster

1. First, choose a music chart and scan the QR code with the Hitster app to automatically play the song on Spotify.
2. Then guess when the song was released and place the card in the correct place in your music timeline.
3. Next, turn over the music card. Did you guess the year correctly? Then you keep the music card to further expand your timeline.
4. Once you have ten cards on your timeline you win the game!

Tip: Adding the Hitster tokens to the mix creates an even more exciting game!

Different levels of play

Hitster has different levels of play, so the game is a challenge for every music lover!

• Original Instant Party! - Put the music cards in the right place in your music timeline.
• Pro You know your music! - Show how well you know artists and their songs.
• Expert Hardcore HITSTER! - You love music and know the title, artist and year by heart!
• Cooperative Work Together! - Create one music timeline together with your friends.

Can you play Hitster without Spotify?

Yes. You can play HITSTER without a Spotify account, but you won't get the best gaming experience. This is because you will only hear 20 seconds of each song. Spotify is offering a temporary free trial of Spotify Premium if you sign up for an account. Go to: https://www.spotify.com/nl/premium/

Can you play Hitster with Youtube, Apple Music, Deezer or another streaming service?

Yes you can, but in that case one player must manually search for the song on the song card in the favorite music streaming service instead of scanning the card with the HITSTER app. You can choose to choose one player as the DJ for the entire game OR take turns playing the song by passing your device to the next player each turn.
