Forest Shuffle
It's a busy time in the local forest: all kinds of animals scurry around, looking for edible plants and insects. Some prefer to be high up in the trees, while others prefer the safety of the bushes or the shelter of the trees. In Forest Shuffle, you plant trees in your forest and add different animals, plants and mushrooms. In doing so, you create a habitat for plants and animals that is ecologically balanced.
To begin, each player has six cards in their hand, with cards representing one type of tree or two forest inhabitants (animal, plant, mushroom, etc.). The latter cards are divided vertically or horizontally in half, with one inhabitant in each card half.
During a turn, draw two cards (face down from the pile or face up from the open spot) and add them to your hand, or play a card from your hand by paying the cost and then bringing it into play.
During setup, three winter cards were placed in the bottom third of the deck. When the third winter card is drawn, the game ends immediately, after which players add up their points based on the trees and inhabitants in their forest. Whoever scores the most points wins.
Forest Shuffle is the first in a series of Lookout games with the Lookout Greenline label, produced on FSC-certified paper and avoiding plastic entirely.
