Five Crowns

Do you know that feeling of laying down cards until you have exactly the right run? Five Crowns gives you that feeling, but with a fresh twist. The game is a bit like classic shedding games or rummy, except here you play with five suits instead of four. You collect sets of matching cards or runs in sequence, and whoever gets rid of all their cards first ends the round. Each round gets a little harder. In the first round you hold three cards, then four, then five, and so on until you are holding thirteen. A handy detail: the card that counts as the wild card matches the number of cards in your hand. In round one the threes are free to use, in round two the fours, and so it builds up until the kings have their turn. Together with the six jokers, every round brings new chances. Five Crowns is a game that can easily keep you at the table for an hour. Perfect for a fun evening with family or friends, and with room for as many as seven players nobody has to sit out. Everyone aged eight and up can join in, and after one game you will want to shuffle again right away.
