London, during the years of the Second World War. Somewhere in a suburb stands an old Victorian manor, closely guarded and full of secrets. Here works an organisation that has fought for centuries against forces not of this world. You are one of the best code breakers in the world and you have been invited to break the Enigma code. If you fail to do so in time, chaos breaks loose and everyone loses. At least, that is what you tell the others. In reality you might have a completely different plan... In Enigma: Beyond Code, everything is about reading what the other person is thinking. Everyone gets a character with their own secret assignment. But watch out: only one of you is the real code breaker, the rest are only pretending. To grab the win, you take turns looking at rooms and objects in the ever changing manor. What you see, you tell the group. You may lie or tell the truth, whatever serves your goal best. Lying is exciting and risky, but the truth might just hand someone else the victory. A game lasts five to ten minutes, so before you know it you are starting the next round. It is best to play until someone has won three times. With room for one to five players and a playing time of about an hour, this is a game that keeps surprising you. The tension grows around the table, because everyone looks at each other and wonders: is she telling the truth now, or not?
