Dominance

Do you know that feeling when you sit across the table from each other and nobody knows yet who will win? Dominance gives you exactly that. Red and black dice stand ready on a black game board of 9 by 9 squares. On every side you see the familiar card symbols: hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades. These dice are called knights. If there is a square around the symbol, you are holding a prince. Anyone who enjoys chess will feel right at home here. The goal is clear: capture your opponent's king with your knights and princes. You roll your knights across the board step by step, one square at a time. Your princes may travel further, with or without rolling, as many squares as you like. Are you in line with one of your opponent's pieces and does your die show the same symbol? Then you knock it off the board. Dominance is a game for two, in which you have to weigh up every move carefully and always try to think one step ahead. Quiet at the table, both of you lost in the game, until that one decisive move. Suitable from age 8, so even with the children joining in it becomes an evening you will not forget quickly.
