A row of monsters stands ready, and you march into battle. Alone or with up to four heroes, you take on the dangers. Your weapons? Seven dice in different shapes. Roll them well and deal damage. Roll exactly the number that matches your hero, and you can also use your own special power. Will you survive long enough to defeat the mighty dragon Kalterstorm? Each round, three new monsters arrive, on top of the enemies still standing. After that, you roll the dice and the players take turns. You place a die on a monster and the value decides how much damage you do. If the damage is greater than the monster's health, it is defeated and you sometimes pick up a handy item. But watch out: many monsters have their own rules. You have to take out the Ogre before you may attack others, and you only beat the Gremlin with exactly three damage. So just swinging away does not work. In the box you will find eight hero cards, which you can try out in all sorts of combinations. Once you have mastered the game, you add more and more trap cards for extra challenge. Dice Conquest was designed by Stephen Avery and Eugene Bryant, with atmospheric artwork by Mirco Paganessi. The seven lovely dice are included, but would you rather use your own favourite set? Of course you can.
