Picture a medieval world where nothing is quite what it seems. In Deal with the Devil, every player secretly takes on a role. Are you an ordinary mortal, a member of a dark cult, or perhaps the Devil himself? Nobody knows who is sitting across from them, and that is exactly what makes every round exciting. Because each role has its own goal, you play the same game and yet it feels different every time. The heart of the game is trading. In secret, you offer resources in exchange for another player's money. The Devil tries to tempt mortals with fine goods in return for a piece of their soul. And the cult leader? He is more than happy to give his soul away. Only the companion app knows who is really doing business with whom. Show too clearly how well you are doing and you rouse suspicion in the others, which can easily draw the attention of the Inquisition. Every choice has consequences. Do you sell part of your soul early to build up your city faster, at the risk of being punished later? Or do you play it safe and quietly wait for the others to give themselves away? With four players and a good chunk of playing time, this is an evening full of double meanings, hidden intentions and surprising twists. Exactly the kind of game you keep talking about for days.
