The cult's followers have worked long and carefully to prepare for this moment. An Elder God, a being from another dimension, has made contact with their minds. It gave them the knowledge needed to wake him and bring him into our world. If they succeed, he will unleash his terrible powers on the unsuspecting population. The investigators found out too late. The final ritual has already begun. But with a bit of luck, the god may be vulnerable for a moment right after he appears.
That is the moment when they can shoot him right in the face.
Cthulhu: Death May Die puts players in the role of investigators trying to stop an Elder God. This god is being summoned to come to earth. The investigators are too late, because the ritual is already under way. But if they find enough clues to discover a weakness, or disrupt the ritual just enough, they can kill the god before he truly gains a foothold in our world. Together, the players have to fight cultists, search for answers and try to keep their already broken minds from slipping away completely.
