Cascadia (NL)

This is the Dutch-language edition. Cascadia is an enchanting tile-laying and token-drafting experience, mixing puzzle elements with the heart of your gaming adventure. This captivating board game from Alderac Entertainment Group was developed by Flatout Games CoLab, the makers of the acclaimed Calico.

Are you ready to take on the challenge and create a harmonious haven for nature in Cascadia?

Cascadia seamlessly combines the beauty of the Pacific Northwest with challenging gameplay mechanics, giving players an immersive experience as they create their own ecosystems.

Dive into the world of habitats, wildlife and strategic decision-making, and let Cascadia redefine your board game experience.

What you can expect:

• Cascadia takes players to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. There they compete to create the most harmonious ecosystem. You do this by placing tiles strategically and choosing wildlife tokens.
• Cascadia builds on the success of its predecessor, Calico, and introduces a hex-based tile-laying system. The game challenges players with spatial puzzles. Each turn involves selecting a tile/token pair, expanding your ecosystem and earning points through clever placement and by fulfilling wildlife goals.
• With variable scoring goals, Cascadia makes sure every game unfolds as a unique spatial challenge. Adapt your strategy to different scoring criteria and enjoy a dynamic play experience that keeps bringing you back for more.
• Explore the diverse habitats and wildlife of the Pacific Northwest as you strategically build and populate your terrain. Choose from five habitat types and make tactical decisions about where to place wildlife tokens to maximise points.
• Placing habitat tiles strategically is crucial to reduce fragmentation and create wildlife corridors. Score points for the largest area of each habitat type at the end of the game, with bonuses for beating your opponents.
