Canopy: Evergreen

Deep under the canopy of the rainforests in the American northwest, life is buzzing. Salmon swim against the current, ferns and wildflowers cover the mossy ground, and a grey wolf sneaks between the trees looking for a meal. In Canopy: Evergreen you make your own piece of forest flourish. You grow the tallest trees, collect special plants and turn your forest into a lovely place where animals feel at home. On your turn you choose new cards for your forest from three piles. If you look at a pile, you may take it right away and add the cards to your forest. Do you want to wait a little longer? Then put the pile back face down and add an extra card to it. That way the piles keep growing, and you have to think carefully about which plants and animals bring your forest the most. Do watch out, because among all that beauty there is danger too, in the form of fire, disease and drought. After three seasons, the player with the richest rainforest wins. Canopy: Evergreen is a complete game that you can play on its own. You collect sets of cards and always pick the best ones for yourself, just like in the original Canopy. New are the rules for gathering food, growing trees on your forest board for lasting bonuses and feeding animals that play along with you. And the best part? The 3D tree tiles really grow as you play. Get lost together in the green forest and watch your woods come to life before your eyes.
